Transition

RayBan_Vince_Old Navy_Rebecca Minkoff_DV (2)It's Summer. But I can't shake this feeling that Fall will suddenly be here. Maybe it's the darker mornings and crisp air that are reminiscent of the early days of Fall. Or the in-your-face Fall fashion splashed all over the magazines. How about the Fall-inspired outfits covering the mannequins in stores? Taking these cues, I figured it might be time to start picking out pieces that will swiftly take me from this season to the next. Lightweight knits are key for those days that start off warm, but end with cooler temps. Just throw one in your bag and you are good to go. I'm all about the perforated/cut-out/open-toe/ caged booties. Even though they seem to be suffering from an identity crisis (am I a bootie? or a sandal?), they straddle both seasons perfectly. Worn with shorts or a dress: sandal. Worn with jeans or leggings: bootie. You know what this means, don't you? Wait for it.......cost per wear decreases dramatically. So go ahead; invest in pair!

Kidogo Kidogo

Putting seasons aside, there is one thing I swap in and out frequently: my cellphone case. The latest addition is this Kidogo Kidogo case. Not only does it protect and accessorize, it goes the extra mile. For each phone case sold, Kidogo Kidogo provides a phone/phone credit to low-income woman in Tanzania who otherwise cannot afford to purchase themselves. Why do these women need mobile phones? Not only is it a means of communication, it also serves as a flashlight, a watch, a calculator, a camera and a radio. With a mobile device in their possession, these women feel a greater sense of personal safety. From a personal financial perspective, mobile banking has become highly common, and a phone provides women a way to make secure banking transactions. Translated from Swahili, Kidogo Kidogo means "little by little." So, little by little, with each phone case sold, the financial barrier to owning life changing mobile technology is removed.

Here's your chance to enter and win this Kidogo Kidogo phone case (for iPhone 5/5s)!
