Sweater or Blazer?

Prada_Etsy_Gap_Banana Republic_JCrew_Gap_Arturo Chiang_coverThis might sound really trivial to you, but keep in mind that I am in business professional clothing 5 days a week. I get SUPER excited when the department declares a 'Jeans Day' in the office! I know, silly right? But any chance I can incorporate some of my off duty wardrobe into the work week is a win for me. Even though I get this so-called freebie, I still need to play by the dress code policy. When it comes to picking out a pair of jeans, I stick to dark washes and a skinny fit, while avoiding prints, uneven washes and rips are a definite no-no. Gotta keep a clean cut appeal. The piece de resistence is this soft blazer. It's like a sweater and a blazer decided to have a child and this sweater-blazer was born. Bravo Banana Republic. This is definitely a staple piece, as it can easily be thrown on top of any outfit to bring it to the next level. I will be guilty of putting this piece on rotation this Fall. To round out this 'casual' work look, added a little bling to jazz up the neckline, a bright colored belt to break the sea of black and a pair of pumps because what else would I put on?

Quick, tell me: what are your go-to pieces?
