To all the mom's and mom's-to-be out there, I hope you had a fabulous Mother's Day! I was lucky enough to spend it with my mom and mother-in-law. On Sunday, Dan and I hopped into the Mini and zipped our way to Amesbury. Had no idea it was going to take us an hour to get there. Needless to say, we were a tad late. We brunched at No.8 Kitchen & Spirits, where I indulged in the duck confit hash accompanied by the best iced coffee, eva. That alone made the drive worth it! Once our bellies were full and gifts exchanged, it was time to hit the road. But before embarking on the hour-long drive, a mini photo sesh was in order; obvi. On the perfectly sunny and warm Sunday, I knew I had to break out this gorgeous floral skirt. I purchased this skirt when it was too cold to bare my legs and I have been counting down the cold Spring days until it could come out of hiding. Style tip: Crop tops pair best with high-waisted skirts, creating perfectly balanced proportions. It eliminates the need to tuck in a shirt that is prone to bunching or spending time finding a cardi/blazer that is the perfect length. I opted for a conservative crop top, hitting perfectly at the banded waist and barely showing any skin. Maybe I'll be brave one day and go for a shorter one (insert surprised emoji face). How brave are you with the crop top?
