Chiffon Pleated Skirt

I have this one knee length black pleated skirt that I wear quite often (most recently here). It was part of the Jason Wu X Target collaboration a few years back. At the risk of wearing this poor skirt to death, I decided it was time to pick up another variation of it. In my latest Uniqlo haul, I perused the skirt section and found this high-waisted chiffon pleated skirt. I'm all about the high waist these days.  I didn't want a black one (boring) so opted for olive as it can be treated much like a neutral. Not gonna lie, still thinking about the blush one.

For a lunch date with some friends, I went for a casual yet chic look by pairing it with a crop top (no tucking fuss), my booties and a faux leather jacket (for that added edge). I don't know what it is but when I put on this jacket, I feel a little bit cooler ;). On our way to the restaurant, Dan kept on telling me I looked too fancy for an afternoon lunch. I mean, I don't want a good outfit to go to waste - amiright, ladies?

Shopping Notes:

1) Sunglasses: c/o Warby Parker; 2)Faux Leather Jacket: Topshop via Nordstrom. I purchased this last year and it's still available!; 3)Black Crop Top: H&M (old), linked to similar pieces above; 4) High-waisted Chiffon Pleated Skirt: Uniqlo. I find that Uniqlo sizing can be difficult but here I am wearing an XS comfortably; 4) Booties: c/o M.Gemi (old), linked to two cute alternatives above; 5) Crossbody Bag: c/o Furla (old).
